Two-Hour Beginner Simulator Lesson
The two-hour beginner lesson, flown in our Redbird MCX full-motion simulator instead of an airplane. The platform moves, the scenery wraps around you, and the time is loggable because the Redbird is an FAA-approved AATD.
Book this one if the weather is unsettled, if you would rather your first time at the controls happened on the ground, or if $249 is the number that works. None of it is wasted: up to fifty hours in the Redbird count toward a commercial certificate later.
The Two Hours
| Minutes | What Happens |
|---|---|
| 30 | Ground lesson: the controls, the instruments and the plan |
| 10 | Setting up the cockpit |
| About 70 | In the Redbird MCX, flying the maneuvers |
| 10 | Debrief and your signed logbook entry |
What $249 Covers
The simulator, your instructor for the full two hours, the ground lesson and the debrief. Nothing is added at the desk. Enroll in a course within 24 hours and the whole $249 comes off the package.
Before You Book
There is no weight limit in the simulator. Before you pick a time you will be asked to accept our weather and cancellation policy, and that is the only check.
Lessons run 9 AM to 5 PM, seven days. The simulator is indoors, so weather never cancels it. Free rescheduling up to 24 hours before; the detail is on our weather and cancellation policy page.
