Sixty minutes over Los Angeles after dark for two people, with one of you flying. One passenger sits in the left seat with hands on the controls and a certificated flight instructor beside them, and the second rides along with a headset and the same view.

After dark the city reads as pure light: the San Fernando Valley running out to the mountains, the freeways drawn in white and red, the black gap of the Santa Monica Mountains, and downtown standing up out of the grid beyond it. Runway lights at Van Nuys are visible from miles out on the way home, and the approach over a lit field is the part most people talk about afterwards.

A night departure and a lit-runway return take more aircraft and instructor time than a daytime flight, which is why this booking runs about $100 above the equivalent day flight.

What Is Included

  • 60 minutes of aircraft time in a Piper Warrior PA-28-161 for two people
  • A pre-flight briefing at the table, roughly twenty to thirty minutes
  • The preflight walkaround, done with you and a checklist
  • A certificated flight instructor, fuel and headsets for both of you
  • A logbook entry for the person who flies

Good To Know

  • The combined weight limit for both passengers is 360 lb. Tell us the real figures when you book.
  • One person flies on a 60-minute booking. To swap seats mid-flight, call and ask about a longer slot.
  • Bring government photo ID. No medical certificate or prior paperwork is needed.
  • We operate 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, seven days, and the aircraft must be back on the ground by 9:00 PM, so night slots are earliest in winter and latest in summer.
  • Enroll in a flight training course within 24 hours and the full cost of this flight is credited toward it.
