INSTRUMENT RATING COURSE AT ENCORE FLIGHT ACADEMY
COURSE LENGHT
The Instrument Rating Program at Encore Flight Academy has total of 30 Lessons according to the syllabus. Each lesson consist of one-on-one classroom instruction, the actual flight lesson in the aircraft followed by the lesson debrief. Each lesson takes about three hours to complete. Most student fly two or three times a week and normally the Instrument Rating Program takes about two months to complete.
PAYMENT OPTIONS
We offer in-house financing for Instrument training program at Encore Flight Academy. Our finance department will finance you over 6 months, with down payment of 25%. This option will not require any credit check since the financing is done at the school level.

What is the difference between the two packages offered?
FAA requires you to have total of 50 hours of X-Country PIC (Pilot In Command) time before the Instrument CheckRide. If you don’t have the X-Country time you would need to get the second package.
Are there any scheduled classroom sessions?
All flight training is done on one-on-one basis, therefore students pick the best time to fly based on their own schedules.
Can I do flight training on weekends?
Encore Flight Academy is open 7 days week. The flight sessions could be scheduled from 8am until 11pm daily.
Can I do my flight training at night?
You will fly minimum of 5 hours of flight time at night during the Private Pilot Course, since your license will allow you fly at night. You can do more sessions at night time if you like, however it preferred to do most of the flight training during day time hours.
How long does it take to complete the Instrument Rating Course?
The Instrument Rating course has total of 35 lessons and usually it takes about 2 to 3 months to complete.
What kind of aircraft I will be flying during the instrument course?
You do can choose between the Piper, Diamond and Cessna, however most people do their training in Piper Warriors.
Can I use the Flight Simulators for Instrument Rating?
Yes, All of our flight simulators are FAA approved, FAA allow up to 10 hours of total instrument training to be done in flight simulators.
What kind of syllabus and publication is used during the training?
Encore Flight Academy utilizes all Jespersen Training Materials and Syllabus.
